We went looking for a good hamburger and fries and we found it. They were just the right thickness, juicy and good flavor. Delicious milkshakes and fantastic service. Will definitely go back.
Just came here for the first time today and I’m blown away by how different the burgers are here, they don’t taste like everybody else’s burgers! They are great and so is the chili and fries! Don’t skip this place over!
We pass by approximately 6 ‘hamburger joints’ to get to Pete’s on Poinsett! We order the same plates nearly every time and they get it right every time. None of those that we pass by can seem to do that. It would be far more convenient to go to a closer restaurant but some things just aren’t worth your time. Just so you know, we order hamburger plates with mayonnaise; mustard; chili and onions. The plate contains some really good slaw. Also comes with some French fries, that I have not found anywhere, in a very long time. I mean really good fries. We order the same thing every time. We never have to wonder if it will be as good as it was last time...it will be !! And, “No”. We don’t know who owns this place nor are we relatives. I simply believe in praising where praise is due.
My family has been coming here for years and the quality of food and service is always top tier and consistent. We love Pete’s on Poinsett!!
This is a little diner that is close to my heart. I've probably been there close to a hundred times. Never EVER had any issues with the food, or the service. I gave it five stars for atmosphere because, for a diner, it's a simple place but everyone is so friendly. I eat out a lot and it's one of my favorite places to eat in Greenville. Daily specials, fair pricing and just great regular food that's always perfect. I'll eat fancy food, but for regular down home country cooking it's the best.

If you want to eat local, Pete's is the place to go. Their restaurant always has a nice and cozy atmosphere, and the food is fresh and delicious. While there is around a 20 minute wait time for food, once you get it it'll all be worthwhile.
I eat here every Sunday and have done so for 15 or so years. The atmosphere is nice for meat-and-three. The menu for that has different meats and special veggies daily. And Anna's wonderful desserts count as one of the 3. I go for meat-and-three which is a whole other thing. They do have many of the options below that many people eat.
